Welcome to Ignite!

When was the last time you truly relished your homework of delighted in something new?

Ignite is a class designed to do just that, ignite your love of learning and adventure!
With the “growth mindset” skills fostered in class, you will be equipped to be a more curious, engaged, and independent thinker!

This year we will be dividing the class into two groups and diving into two specific areas of learning. Each group will spend an hour in one of the areas and then switch for the 2nd hour.

One part of the class will engage in 3 units of study, each of which will be an opportunity to pursue a new topic of interest and growth.

These will include:

• We are All Wonders
• Clue Finders
• Geography Wiz

The other part of the class will dive into Our Magnificent Earth, an interactive project based biology class based on homesteading principals. Each unit will build upon the other, where we will explore hands on system dynamics within the following topics:

• Grounded Earth: dirt vs soil, what’s the difference?
• Water is Life: discoveries in the water cycle and conservation
• Our Green World: plants and their development Small but Mighty: adventures with our great pollinators
• Animals: our loyal companions and support
